Annual Fund Drive

The Aquinas Academy Annual Fund Drive (AFD) – “Excellence Through Faith” – is a yearly appeal to families, friends, and benefactors. Funds raised support academy operations. Charitable giving is a primary indicator of any private school's health and we greatly depend on the generous hearts of the entire Aquinas community in order to sustain and advance our mission.

As an independent academy, Aquinas receives no parish support or government subsidy. Like any school, the most significant budgetary expenditure (80% - 85%) is on salaries for our fine faculty and staff members. In order to keep tuition affordable for as many families as possible, there is a gap between the tuition collected for each student and the actual cost of educating that student. The AFD exists to raise the necessary funds to cover that gap through tax-deductible gifts. Each year, the AFD runs from June 1st to May 31st and all gifts are used in the school year they are given.

ENSURING OUR FUTURE

Over the years, Aquinas has accomplished so much because of its success in the AFD. Successful AFDs help curb tuition increases, provide tuition assistance, retain talented teachers, enhance classroom environments, and enable the fulfillment of our children’s potential.

We ask that each family participate in our AFD.  Any gift, no matter the size, counts towards participation,  and helps to close the financial gap and cover expenses. Aquinas also accepts company-matching gifts, planned gifts, appreciated securities, and memorial gifts.  We ask everyone to look at their own resources and prayerfully consider a gift to our AFD.  

With ever-changing IRS regulations, we recommend that you review your method of giving with your accountant, attorney, or other financial advisor. This will ensure that your plan will maximize the benefit to you and assist in fulfilling your intention.
